English at university hasn't been as terrible as I thought, although of course everything is easier behind a screen, I can't imagine writing in a blog without a dictionary next to me and a list of verbs, although having to write two blogs every two weeks has helped me to be able to loosen my hand a bit to write I still have a long way to go to be able to do it fluently without a draft in Spanish first. I have to say that English has always been a stumbling block for me, even though all my elementary and middle school education has had an English course I never managed to learn more than the verb "to be" and numbers. Definitely what I need to improve in my English is speaking, I just can't do it, I can understand 50-60% of what they tell me, I can understand 80% of what I read if I'm concentrated, and writing even if it takes me a while, ¿but speaking it.?.. it's impossible for me, I'll be speechless when it's my turn to speak and my mind will be b...

I am already in my fourth semester of chemistry and pharmacy, which means that I have been in college for almost two years (I know, I didn't think I would last that long either). In this time I have made friends from other universities (chemistry and pharmacy and other careers) which makes me realize the differences between them, there are times that what I take in three semesters of mathematics they take in only one and others in which they simply do not take it, which makes me curious.   As for the academic load I think it is excessive, in my semester year I had 7 mandatory subjects, and three of reinforcement to be able to adapt, while in other universities the maximum of subjects are 5 and the rest are considered recreational workshops (and I feel envious of that). I don't think there is much difference in the way of teaching, it all depends on the teacher, and the evaluations.... well that's another topic, I barely got a 4 after staying up all night studying while m...

you must believe me when i tell you that i've been thinking about this for two days, and i'm still not sure what to write, being someone who likes science fiction the only thing i could think about was what would happen if i traveled in time and i met myself, i think i would ask her if i managed to get a university degree (xd), anyway let's say that's not possible and that there will be only one me. being someone who doesn't believe that the human race has much time left in this world, i wouldn't dare to travel far in the future, maybe 4 or 5 years, just to check some things, like if mo dao zu shi's books came out in spanish or if china stopped having so much censorship and accepts the bl genre in its programming, if 2ha and official blessing from heaven managed to have their live action adaptation or if mo dao zu shi will have another adaptation (although I don't know how else they could adapt it), if any of these things happen I think I would stay in ...

A few days ago this was a topic of conversation among my study friends, and as a chemistry and pharmacy student I have many options to choose from, but I think the one that catches my attention the most is to work in a laboratory, for a simple reason, I don't like socializing, nor talking to people I don't know and much less dealing with sick people, so working in a hospital is out of my list of dream jobs, but I think I can not rule out the idea of working in a pharmacy, as it is the closest thing I have where I live and working in a laboratory would mean moving to an apartment or travel long distances every day, and although the original goal is to work in a laboratory I think that settling for the pharmacy does not sound bad. Considering the above I would like to be in a fixed location, I like to have my routine, so having to travel for work is not in my plans, unless of course it is strictly necessary. As for the salary, I think as anyone who enters any career in the scien...

I think my favorite part of the chemistry and pharmacy career is when I have to go to the lab, I am in the second year of the career and in this time I have been to the lab six times, and although I am always nervous for fear of doing something wrong, breaking something or not giving me the expected result, I have always looked forward to the day to go, to be able to touch things and see with my own eyes how substances are homogenized or change color, because it is not the same to have it in front of you than to see it on a video and have it all done by someone else. although of course those six trips to the lab have also meant having to get up early to make a bus trip of an hour and a half, and a subway trip of half an hour, learning to place myself in the subway line has been the most difficult task I have done this year and not getting lost in Santiago has been a great challenge.

Regarding my career, I think that one of its strong points is the fact that it has a large work area. studying chemistry and pharmacy does not mean that you have to work in a laboratory making medicines, the career allows you to choose between three major fields of work which in turn can be divided into more sections; these major fields are: -primary care: work in public or private health (hospitals, clinics, clinics, offices). -Pharmaceutical care: management in sales positions in community or chain pharmacies. -Pharmaceutical industry: making medicines, cosmetics and research. -teaching although a weak point of the first three fields is the responsibilities that one must have to do this type of work, especially in the third, a phrase I heard some months ago made me realize this "I am in charge of making sure that your hand does not tremble when prescribing a medicine". and I find all the reason in the world, the pharmaceutical chemist who...

my winter or summer vacations usually consist of staying at home resting, reading, writing and sometimes watching TV. I don't have a good memory, and I barely remember anything about trips to the beach or the pool when I was younger. So today I'll talk about the most fun day of my summer vacation. the day I turned 18 (a few months before the pandemic broke out) I left home early with my cousin on my way to santiago, we planned the trip a month in advance so we could go to fantasilandia and spend the day, it was the best day of my life. usually for my birthday my mother organizes a small meal with my close family and I spend the whole afternoon sitting on the couch listening how they discuss adult things in which I can not participate; so this day was the best, there was only my cousin and me, we disconnected the cell phone and went from one game to another making long lines for the roller coasters and water attractions, at the end of the day I ended up soaked from head to toe f...
